How We Got Here

We are a couple who spent years working in tech and animation — creating advertising and motion work for businesses around the world. Somewhere along the way, we discovered that the best creative thinking happens when you slow down.

We relocated to the Garden Route, brought our remote work with us, and started building a small farm around us. It turns out that making animation for businesses is a lot more grounding when you're surrounded by trees and chickens who think they own the place.

The birds were supposed to be a side project. They quickly became the point. Every chicken at Flock & Fable has a name, a personality, and a feeding plan we take perhaps too seriously. We track genetics, ferment grain, and read more about poultry nutrition than most people would consider reasonable.

We are not a large operation and we don't want to be. We farm because we love it — and because we believe the food you eat should come from somewhere real, tended by people who care about what they're doing.
